The progress.

A behind-the-scenes look at the journey from first draft to publication. The wins, the setbacks, the edits, the self-doubt and everything in between.

For as long as I can remember, becoming an author has been the dream. This page documents the reality of pursuing that dream—from messy first drafts and late-night writing sessions to editorial feedback, publishing milestones and everything in between. Writing a novel is rarely a straight path, and I wanted to create a space that shares the process honestly.

How long have i been writing?

I first sat down at my laptop with the intention of writing a book around 3 years ago. I was an avid reader, I would tell myself stories at night to relax, and I decided to bite the bullet and take this passion project further.

what genre do you write?

I write contemporary romance with emotionally driven storylines, compelling characters and plenty of heart. While romance sits at the centre of my work, I’m particularly drawn to stories that explore relationships, personal growth and the complexities of modern life.

Are your books based on real life?

While my novels are works of fiction, many are inspired by real emotions, experiences and observations. I often draw inspiration from everyday moments, conversations and the people around me, but the stories and characters themselves are entirely their own.

What stage are you currently at in the publishing process?

I’m currently working closely with my literary representation while continuing to develop and refine my manuscripts. Like many authors, my journey involves editing, planning future projects and taking the necessary steps towards publication.

So, what’s next?

Right now, my focus is on continuing to refine my manuscripts, working closely with my literary representation and taking the next steps towards publication. Alongside that, I’m already developing new stories, new characters and new worlds that I’m excited to explore. While the future is never guaranteed in publishing, one thing is certain: I’ll keep writing, keep learning and keep chasing the dream that first inspired me to put pen to paper all those years ago.
